Earth-friendly cups, bowls, and utensils from Green Shift
While starting up the Tea Garden this summer, we had to ask ourselves: what are we going to do about the garbage? We had to find a solution that was fitting for Ezentials, something environmentally friendly (which it tough when you’re talking about garbage). We don’t expect customers to reuse our cups for tea, so that’s why we offer discounts for people to bring in their own cups to fill. Styrofoam bowls wouldn’t work, since they would never break down in a landfill. Paper cups are tricky – if they’re lined with plastic, then they won’t biodegrade.

The menu includes treats like coconut-based ice cream, gluten, nut and diary-free sorbet, as well as hot and cold teas.
Serving cups, dishes and utensils are made with compostable materials that are often fully biodegradable.
